In cybersecurity, it can be difficult to come out on top as a new startup. Veriti emerged from stealth in 2022 and was looking for a PR agency to take their name, and brand, to the next level. It was important to bring awareness to the cutting-edge work and research they were doing in the cybersecurity space, especially in exposure remediation.
In order for Veriti to become well-known amongst top cybersecurity experts, our approach needed to cover different areas of exposure in the press - expert commentary, thought leadership bylines, podcasts, and awards - to name a few. We placed more than 27 bylines across top-tier business, security, and trade publications such as Forbes, SC Media, Healthcare IT Today, and Security Magazine. We secured membership for both co-founders with the Forbes Tech Council, placing thought leadership articles there once a month and garnering more than 1.1 billion impressions. Veriti has also won 10 awards in two years, including the Cybersecurity Breakthrough Awards, the Global InfoSec Awards, and the Cybersecurity Excellence Awards.
Their sustained media presence helped transform Veriti from a stealth startup into a recognized name in cyber. It sparked real business outcomes and attracted strategic partnerships with industry leaders like Crowdstrike, GuidePoint Security, and Atlantic Data Security.
The momentum culminated in June 2025 when Veriti’s innovative technology caught the eye of Check Point Software (NASDAQ: CHKP), a 30-year cybersecurity leader with more than 7,000 employees across the globe, and resulted in a successful acquisition!
Results
In just two years, Beyond Trending’s PR strategy helped Veriti secure more than 245 media placements across leading business, technology, and security media outlets. On average, we garnered 100 articles/year, constantly positioning Veriti as a go-to expert on timely and high-stakes issues – from an OnlyFans hack and a Trump crypto scam to a ChatGPT vulnerability and beyond. This steady beat of original research and sharp commentary earned top-tier coverage in Forbes, The Daily Upside, Bleeping Computer, Dark Reading, Techopedia, and more. Through various channels of exposure, we’ve reached an audience of 5.4 billion, equating to more than $50 million in advertising equivalency - a testament to how strategic storytelling can drive outsized visibility, brand equity and in turn, a successful exit.
